Post by Racheal Buble - one of the Playful Crew and Maker of giant bubbles
The rain held off exactly as long we needed it to as we brought joy to Boroughbridge in Otley on Sunday for #CarFreeDay; we only got a bit wet while we put the Wonderdome together, which made it a perfect climate for pavement chalk and giant bubbles.
It’s our final day on New Street this Saturday 28th September and we want residents and visitors to come share their ideas for a more Playful Huddersfield. We’ve met such a diverse range of people in the 4 days we’ve spent in the town centre, and heard a great deal of positive ideas. All of which will be collated and shared. Come see us between 11-4pm. It’s Free and Fun

The Leeds Young Inventors Club is looking to expand after successfully running a STEAM event for 9-13-year-olds last year. To do this we need your help!
Is your company looking to dispose of used laptops, tablets or monitors that we could repurpose to help inspire the next generation of innovators? We are looking for donations to help make the next Young Inventors event even better than that in 2018.
Watch people’s eyes light up as they recall the games they played when growing up. What were your favourite games? Were they unique to where you lived? Called the same across the land. We are on an ongoing quest to explore the games once played, the freedoms once enjoyed and connect people with generations growing up now. How do we ensure all ages get to play, roam, get fresh air and independence?
With support from Creative England we have been conducting research and exploring ways to capture stories of favourite games. We’re going to be in Leeds City Centre Wednesday 27th February filming people, young and old, as they recreate games they used to play.
If you ‘re about we’d love it if you could join us. 10.30am -12.30pm in Park Square and 2pm to 4pm at The Tetley. We’ll be following this up with visits to community centres and with partner organisations. Do let us know if you’d like to be involved as we progress
